When Vinnie Met Ellie
When Vinnie Met Ellie was my first foray into the world of NaNoWriMo. That’s a working title, by the way. The original title was going to be Choose Your Own Adventure but then the story took a turn I hadn’t expected and the title didn’t fit anymore. Anyway, I decided to take on the chick lit genre as I spend a lot of time making fun of that genre. Sort of a “put my money where my mouth is” kind of thing. Over all, I think it turned out pretty well.
It tells the story of a young woman, Lavinia Pryce (nicknamed Nia or Vinnie) who meets a young man, Llewelyn Weiss (nicknamed Lew or Ellie). They banter, they bicker and eventually they fall in love. But the course of true love never does run smooth and this story is no different.
It’s rather incomplete at the moment and has been set on the back burner for now but I still really like this project and fully intend to get back to it just as soon as I can. In the meantime, you can read a couple of excerpts and see my official unofficial soundtrack (which, by the way, may contain some spoilers) below. I hope you enjoy it.
